Inner Engineering Online Experience
Updated: Jan 9, 2023
Happy New Year!
Another year i.e. another chance for us to open up a new chapter in our lives š¤
I understand there were no blog posts from my end for the past couple of months, as I was having my share of some bad days. Nevertheless, I am back on track (that New Year excitement hitting š ).
I thought to begin 2023 by sharing a few of my experiences, i.e. certain decisions or certain courses I've taken in the past that I feel are worthwhile sharing. There are high chances that you would have either done it already or at least considered doing it. In case, if it's neither, I am sure it will be still beneficial.
In this blog post, I will be sharing my Inner Engineering Online experience. I have written this in a Q&A format (it just sets a crisp-answer-giving vibe š¹).
What is Inner Engineering Online?
Inner Engineering is a program designed by Sadhguru (I'm guessing, you know who he is) and offered by the Isha Foundation. As Sadhguru put it, āAs there is a science and technology to create external well-being, there is a whole dimension of science and technology for inner well-being.ā Before the pandemic, this program was conducted by either Sadhguru himself or some Isha volunteers. It is now accessible online as well. There are three ways you can take this program:
Inner Engineering Online
Inner Engineering Completion
Inner Engineering Total
The program I opted for was Inner Engineering Online.
Inner Engineering Online is 7-session online program, each about 90 minutes long. It was advised to take 1 session a day, preferably without missing. Those 90 minutes include Sadhguru explaining the topic of the day, followed by guided meditations.
You will be given 30 days to watch all 7 sessions. After that, you won't be able to access the videos. Since it was the pandemic, I paid Rs. 1200 for this course. For the current price, you can check the below link:

Why did I take this course?
Since the pandemic, I have been religiously watching Sadhguru's videos. I adore how he simplifies the basics of life and its circumstances. I felt like taking a proper guided course from him would have much more of a profound effect on me.
How was my overall experience?
In a single word, peaceful! Each session's topic was based on the fundamentals of life. It didn't feel like a religious program or a mere lecture on spirituality. Every day, after the session, I could sense a certain level of stillness. Initially, it was challenging for me to sit continuously for that long period, but after 3rd session, I felt comfortable doing it as well. However, my experience would have been better if I didn't face these two troubles.
The first one was the language. So, before you do the payment, you can opt for the language and I chose Hindi. The language used in the sessions was fully Shudhh Hindi, which made it a little more challenging to grasp than the Hindi I speak.
The second one is the place. Many of us would have observed that we work ably, study better or play cheerfully when the atmosphere surrounding us is laid out in that particular manner. I felt that the experience would have been even more impactful if done in the right atmosphere, maybe in one of the Isha Centers.
My take
I have been practising Isha Kriya on and off for the past year. Earlier, I couldn't even sit for 5 minutes with my eyes closed. Now, I can effortlessly manage 20 minutes (it's a big deal for me!).
You would agree to this that whether things will work for you or not is something which can be determined once you try it- be it in diet, exercise, career, etc. For some, 3 meals a day works and for some, 16 hours of fasting. Some people work best in the morning, while others function best at night.
However, there's a slight nuance to this situation. In contrast to other things, meditation may take a while to show its effects, that too when practised regularly. In my opinion, Inner Engineering is a great way to start.
